What are vectors?

These diseases occur when very small organisms that we cannot see, such as viruses, parasites, or bacteria, enter our blood through the bite or contact with fecal matter from vectors, especially insects such as mosquitoes, flies, ticks, and fleas.

Vectors are organisms that transmit infectious diseases to people: sandflies, mosquitoes, ticks, fleas, rats, etc.
